Vroege extensieve (soms amputatie) chirurgische exploratie (fasciotomie) en debridement van necrotisch weefsel, intraveneuze antibiotische therapie en haemodynamische ondersteuning als dit nodig is. Antibiotische behandeling: op geleide van Gram preparaat, kweek en gevoeligheid, gedurende minimaal 10 dagen.
